Pocket Battle Game No. 18 Behold a Pale Glider (MOQ5)

Against the Odds (ATO) and sister company Turning Point Simulations (TPS) have published a series of small wargames called "Pocket Battle Games". Each game including map and counters are printed as a regulation postcard. The Map is on the front of the postcard and the rules are printed on the back of the postcard. There is even a designated spot for a stamp. (I wonder if that is that a USPS requirement). The playing pieces (counters) are included on the postcard and need to be cut out for play. The design of the cards is such that cutting out the counters will not damage the map or rules. (But will ruin the postcard.) This makes for postcard thin counters which may turn-off some prospective players but the limited number of counters in each game makes these thin counters manageable. Die-cut counters are available from the publishers with purchase of other product at no extra charge. In addition a standard deck of cards (provided by the players) is needed and is used as to activate units and resolve combat (in place of a die). The games have been published in conjunction with various ATO/TPS products and have been included in third party games as promotional material as well. The games are "free" but the only way I know of getting a copy of any game is by the purchase of an ATO/TPS product (or the purchase of a third party game that includes one of these postcard games). These games are not for sale from ATO/TPS, but a title can be requested (at no additional charge) when other ATO/TPS product is purchased from the ATO/TPS web sites.
