Die Spielfiguren sind Holzautos, die den Klassikern der Route 66 aus vergangenen Tagen nachempfunden sind: ein kanariengelber Mustang aus den 60er Jahren, ein hellblauer Thunderbird aus den 50er Jahren (mit Bullaugen), ein kirschroter Ford Pickup (bekannt aus dem ersten großen Hit der Eagles, Take It Easy) und ein schwarzes Harley-Davidson-Motorrad. Viele ikonische Wahrzeichen der Route 66 sind durch Fotos und Grafiken auf dem fast drei Meter langen Neoprenmattenbrett für das Spiel dargestellt; und auch die Würfel sind alle in den Spielerfarben! Die Rennen sind in der Regel eng umkämpft und dauern 30-45 Minuten. Die Regeln sind leicht zu erlernen. Route 66 icons and photos are represented on the nearly 4 foot long neoprene mat board for the game. The player pieces are wooden cars representative of classics found on Route 66 in days gone by -- a canary yellow 60’s Mustang; a pale blue Thunderbird from the 50’s (with portholes); a cherry red Ford pickup truck (featured in the Eagles' first hit “Take It Easy”); and a black Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Players race along a two tiered track to cross the US on the iconic Route 66. The first player to California wins the game.
